20 years on Therapy returns for a Love Injection

Therapy, the iconic Joburg queer clubbing institution, presents LOVE INJECTION – The 20th Anniversary Reunion, brought to you by Red Bull, Mambaonline.com and Carfax, on Saturday 12 November 2016.

Two decades after Therapy’s groundbreaking inception, it’s time to reconnect and bring back the music. It’s time for Therapy veterans and new fans alike to return to the dance floor; to move to the universal freedom of beats and rhythm and to express our inner freak.

LOVE INJECTION celebrates twenty years of the Therapy nightclub brand, the brainchild of DJ/producer Stuart Hillary. Created in 1996, Therapy set the standard for stylish progressive queercore clubbing in Johannesburg.

Voted as one of the best gay clubs in the world at its peak in 2003, Therapy morphed into occasional standalone celebrations of dance music at various venues around the country. Now, four years since the last Therapy Sextravaganza event, Therapy is ready to re-administer a much-needed shot of edgy nightlife elegance.

On 12 November, many of Therapy’s DJ family will return to the decks at Carfax in Newtown, while diva Tamara Dey (dressed in haute couture creations by Andrew Chandler) is set to perform some of her Flash Republic hits and debut new music. LOVE INJECTION will present two thumping floors, offering classic and modern Therapy tunes, and mind-blowing sound and production.

In today’s increasingly unpredictable, disconnected and stressed world, we ALL need a little Therapy. Come get your LOVE INJECTION dose at Carfax on 12 November 2016.
